ABOUT OUR EVENTS

Indigenomics events are transformative gatherings that highlight Indigenous economic leadership, innovation, and empowerment on both national and global stages. Rooted in Indigenous worldviews and guided by principles of reciprocity, relationality, responsibility and reconciliation, since 2019 Indigenomics events convene Indigenous Nations, entrepreneurs, economic development corporations, policy-makers, and industry leaders to outcomes of Indigenous economic inclusion. From Indigenomics on Bay Street, Indigenomics by Design, Indigenomics SHE, Indigenomics IMPACT to Indigenomics NOW, the Indigenomics event series creates a curated space to share knowledge, build partnerships, and activate pathways toward sustainable and self-determined Indigenous economies.

More than just conferences, Indigenomics events are action-oriented platforms designed to elevate Indigenous economic visibility and catalyze system-level change. They reflect a collective commitment to economic self-determination, land-based stewardship, and community-led innovation. With storytelling, solution-building, and collaboration at the core, these gatherings are a call to engage in an economy that honors Indigenous knowledge systems and supports the full expression of Indigenous economic potential—locally, nationally, and globally.

What began as a social media hashtag has evolved into a national and global movement—one that demands a seat at the economic table for Indigenous Peoples today and in the future. The first Indigenomics gatherings emerged as thought-leadership spaces where Indigenous business voices could be heard, celebrated, and connected to opportunities across sectors. These early events laid the foundation for an Indigenous economic design platform that would inspire policy shifts, investment, and partnerships grounded in Indigenous values and economic inclusion.

Over time, Indigenomics events have grown in scale and influence, reflecting the rising momentum of Indigenous economic empowerment. From grassroots convenings to large-scale conferences like Indigenomics on Bay Street, each event has expanded the reach and impact of the Indigenomics Institute’s mission. They have featured visionary leaders, entrepreneurs, and youth changemakers, showcasing real-world examples of Indigenous economic success and innovation. Today, Indigenomics events are recognized as essential convenings in the movement toward economic reconciliation, Indigenous financial and investment collaboration, and the ongoing transformation of economic systems to reflect community, sustainability, and relational generational, sustainable wealth grounded in stewardship and responsibility.
