An Unforgettable Immersive Experience
Building on the artistic and immersive interventions introduced in 2025, the 2026 Indigenomics IMPACT deepens this work as a living layer within the gathering. Developed in partnership with MOVE37XR, these experiences act as portals into an Indigenous-led economic future, shaping a space where Indigenous worldviews, economic systems, and creative expression meet.
Through dome environments, 360° video, film, spatial audio, sculptural installation, and site-wide design, the program approaches technology as a cultural tool rather than a novelty. It becomes a way to hold story, language, teachings, and knowledge systems in forms that remain rooted while moving across generations.
Woven throughout the conference footprint, the immersive program creates moments of pause, belonging, reflection, and encounter. In collaboration with Squamish artist Austin Harry, a unifying visual language grounds participants within Squamish territory and shapes wayfinding as a visual expression of protocol.
Together, these works form a cumulative field of experience connecting culture, economy, ecology, and technology, while laying groundwork for the Life at the Centre Festival in June 2027.
