Robin Chakrabarti’s professional trajectory is marked by a deep commitment to entrepreneurship, value-based leadership, and giving back to the communities he is proud to live and work in. Drawing from senior executive, board and shareholder roles, his expertise in branding, corporate finance, operations, and corporate culture has had an impact across diverse industries including security, financial services, hospitality, and consumer packaged goods.
As President and CEO of Securiguard, Robin heads Canada’s largest exclusively Canadian security and safety organization. Specializing in the deployment of security and safety solutions across Canada, Securiguard’s team approaching 4,000 security professionals ensures safety across the nation, from bustling cities to the most remote locations, accessible by land, sea, or air.
Proudly, Securiguard is the industry leader in building and sustaining Indigenous partnerships and investing and developing Indigenous talent and entrepreneurship with 22 Indigenous partners and growing across Canada.
Through the efforts of Robin and the Securiguard team, Securiguard has been named one of Canada’s Best Employers by Forbes and are a multi-year winner of Waterstone’s Most Admired Culture Award. Robin’s commitment and dedication towards culture and employee engagement was recognized this year by the Canadian HR Awards, as an awardee for the CPHR Canada Award for HR Champion (CEO) and the organization being an awardee for the CPHR Award for Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion. Robin is a multiple year guest “Bear” on the ground-breaking television series Bears Lair which is committed to developing Indigenous entrepreneurial talent.
Beyond his operational roles, Robin has served on several corporate boards, further showcasing his breadth of business acumen. His leadership extends to Chair positions of boards and committees including Risk, and HR to name a few, highlighting his comprehensive understanding of both strategic and people-centered aspects of businesses.
Complementing his professional achievements, Robin’s academic background provides a foundation of excellence and demonstrates his appetite for continual learning. Robin holds the Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D designation obtained after completing the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management Directors Education Program, an MBA from Simon Fraser University with a focus on Corporate Strategy and an Honours Bachelor Commerce from McMaster University with a joint specialization of finance and marketing.
