Kurt Archer

Integrated Projects & Digital Support Coordinator

Kurt leads event production and digital innovation for Indigenomics, where he organised Indigenomics NOW—the first-ever 24-hour global virtual event on Indigenous economics. The event featured thought leaders, economists, and policymakers from around the world in a continuous, high-impact digital gathering.

Kurt is also a seasoned community builder, event producer, and communications strategist with over two decades of experience in the non-profit sector. He currently serves as Project Director at The Existence Project, a social impact non-profit with a mission to humanise homelessness through storytelling, training, and community engagement.

Kurt is the co-founder of Between Words Theatre Company and creator of the Victoria One Act Play Festival, a sold-out annual event now in its third year. He also serves as founding President of the Victoria Theatre Collective, a network strengthening independent theatre in Victoria.

A longtime TEDx curator, currently with TEDxVictoria, Kurt brings over a decade of experience in speaker curation and programme design. He’s also produced bold, community-driven events with TEDxYYC, VIATEC, and F*ckup Nights, blending creative strategy with operational rigour.

A Carleton University graduate in Political Science, Kurt was raised as a white settler on Treaty 7 territory near the Tsuut’ina Nation and now lives on the unceded lands of the Lekwungen peoples, specifically the Songhees and Kossapsum Nations.

Beyond the stage and boardroom, Kurt empowers non-profits and public speakers to shape narratives that matter. He is driven by the convergence of technology, climate, social justice, and the arts—an alignment that also fuels his speculative fiction writing.
