Pravin is the co-founder and Managing Director of Humanitas Smart Planet Systems, a venture capital firm investing in climate tech and social technologies for SMEs. He serves as the Senior Advisor for Technology, Innovation, and Strategy at the Global Centre of Indigenomics. Additionally, Pravin is the Creative Director and founder of MOVE37XR, where he leads the creation of immersive story experiences designed to foster empathy across species and within the human family. With over 35 years of experience as a social entrepreneur and a longstanding member of the Social Venture Institute, Pravin specializes in cultivating conscious organizations and expanding interdisciplinary networks in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. His work centers on the pragmatic application of advanced technologies to address global challenges. Notably, Pravin contributed to the founding of Doctors Without Borders in Canada and has held leadership roles, including Executive Director of the Rediscovery International Foundation. As a community fellow at the Dadehah Institute for Global Health Research, he focuses on the use of immersive technologies to address issues of Planetary Health.
Pravin holds degrees from McMaster University (B.A. in Arts and Science), Emily Carr University of Art and Design (BFA), McGill University (MBA), and the University of Saskatchewan (MFA). His artistic practice, which explores the intersection of emerging technology, consciousness, and nature, includes collaborations with Human-Computer Interaction engineers to conduct art-science experiments involving media, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
